The idea behind Fruit Sudoku

Fruit Sudoku keeps the classic puzzle's logic untouched and changes only what you look at. Instead of the digits 1 to 9, the nine symbols are nine fruits, and each fruit sits on a color of its own. That double coding — a distinct shape and a distinct color for every value — makes the board unusually easy to scan. Clashes tend to jump out, a nearly full row reads at a glance, and a puzzle that can feel abstract in numbers becomes something you almost play by eye. How it works

The rule is exactly the one you already know, applied to fruit. Each row must contain all nine fruits with none repeated, each column must do the same, and each 3×3 box must do the same. Fruit and color, so nothing looks alike

Each of the nine fruits is paired with its own clear color — the apple is red, the orange is orange, the lemon is amber, the kiwi is teal, the grapes are violet, and so on. Two ways of telling the values apart means you are never squinting at near-identical symbols. It also keeps the game readable if you find some colors hard to distinguish: when the hue is ambiguous, the fruit's shape settles it, and if you prefer plain numbers you can bring them back at any time.
